Joe Biden has faced criticism after his press secretary ended his speech mid-sentence during a media conference in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi on Sunday.
Biden, who has been blasted by conservatives for the “rambling” nature of his answers to questions about his recent meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the G20 summit in New Delhi, India, was cut off by Karine Jean-Pierre. The president, 80, left the stage shortly afterwards.
As the president was responding to shouted questions from the press, Jean-Pierre took to the microphone to announce, “Thank you everybody – this ends the press conference.” Biden remained on stage briefly following her announcement, responding to one additional question, though his full answer was inaudible.

Biden had, at that point, taken the five questions from reporters in the room that he said he would, before announcing, “I tell you what, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to bed.”
Then on his way home he started to lie about having been at the Twin Towers site on 9/11. He wasn’t – he was in a bunker back in DC.
The man has lost the plot completely. It is elder abuse to keep dragging him out past his bedtime. He needs to be tucked up at home with a warm drink and Golden Girls re-runs.
It’s also country abuse. We need a leader with fully functioning faculties before they burn it all down.
